Fiat CR-42 "Falco" (1/144)
thingiverse
I've taken a substantial remix of the 1/100 scale CR-42 by sheptr and rebuilt it from scratch, retaining only the fuselage. Rescaled to an impressive 1/144, I've completely reimagined the wings, struts, undercarriage, fin, and tailplanes, while adding a meticulously detailed pilot. A functional 5mm socket is now integrated into the underside of the fuselage, enabling seamless attachment to a flight stand. The design has been cleverly split in half, allowing the wings to print vertically with minimal supports required. However, some support remains necessary, mainly for the undercarriage. Throughout the build, I've made significant thickness adjustments to the wings, struts, and other components. This was crucial, as an initial rescale of the original model resulted in parts that were too thin to print reliably or at all.
