FGC-9 MAG RELEASE BAR REINFORCED WITH STEEL. Are you tired of curling mag release bar in that Texas hot heat? or snapping in half over intense stress from a compression spring constantly pushing against it? well, here's your cure for those problems! THINGS THAT WERE CHANGED IN DESIGN -thicker mag release bar (yes i know there was a 2nd version made but this one better) -3mm hollow hole that runs all the way through the bar, to insert a 3mm rod. -cutted out that slant the spring would originally sit against so now your compression spring won't sit at a angle anymore -Added a cone type dowel, that your compression spring will sit over that keeps spring stationary KEY POINTS AND HOW TO If any of you use Parts-dispensed for your FGC-9 needs, you'll notice in your parts kit there's a 3mm rod with your kit for a firing pin, you'll be using that extra bit of the left-over rod to use for this mag release bar, so it's a win win, and will put that to work. you can also use a 1/8 rod as well, or something that's 3mm in diameter. This print is good to go and scaling not needed, orientation, should sit on flat side down, no supports needed. there's also room for elephants' foot if you have problems with that on your printer, so this is real more user friendly print. once its printed, 3mm rod should slide all the way in the only one opening there is, but it'll bottom out all the way through entire mag bar. if the hole is too tight for rod, use 1/8 or 3mm drill bit to ream out the hole till rod slides through, coat rod slightly with thin film of epoxy, jb weld etc. this is only so it doesn't back itself out in due time, but more added extra security. once inserted after its coated and feel that it bottoms out inside mag bar, use pair of side cuts to snip off excess rod sticking out, and wipe away excess epoxy/glue, and now your DONE any problems should arise pls let me know. I already did make a few of these and works perfectly and is dumb dumb strong, hope this helps you guys out. I wanted to achieve and keep originality of it printed but strong as steel. that'll last longer then the gun itself.
