The FG085 function generator kit comes without a protective case, which is exactly what I wanted. I opted for a simple solution and didn't want to fuss with fasteners. This half-case slides directly onto the FG085 from both above and below. I secured it in place with gorilla black tape, creating a faux leather effect that adds a touch of sophistication. The design does not include a necessary hole for the power plug. To address this issue, I carefully drilled mine and then trimmed the tape to cover the drilled area perfectly. It's essential to ensure that the hole is large enough to accommodate both the metal barrel and the plastic portion of the power plug, allowing it to connect securely. The design provides clear instructions for printing a flawless half-case. However, there is one notable detail: The corners can sometimes warp away from the glass when printing. To counter this problem, I incorporated corner rafts into the design that can be easily removed after printing.
