This system is a Spirulina Bioreactor. It's purpose is to produce spirulina automatically. Spirulina is edible, rich in protein, contains all required amino acids, rich in B12 and contains most of the other required vitmanins. Fresh spirulina, once rinsed and mixed with drinking water, taste nothing at all. The Whole system including the electronics cost less than 300$. Maintaining the system Cost less than 30$/months including electricity bill, nutrients and fertilizer. It is designed to suport a 100L culture but can also handle 200L and probably 300L. A 100L culture is enough to allow someone to barely survive on if suplemented with any high calory food source. As Most of the cheapsest food is rich in calory, this project aims to provide the rest of nutritional needs to low and very low income people. Once the project is completed and stable, systems like this will be donated to food banks and homeless shelters.
