FF7 Tifa Skirt_ A Reconstruction Study

My Attempt to Recreate Tifa's Skirt from FF7 Remake! Reference Picture: https://twitter.com/luna_libertatis/status/1252746769923891200/photo/1 According to the reference picture, the entire skirt is made of leather, including the intricate folds. I'm not sure if leather this thick can be sewn and pressed like fabric, but it certainly looks amazing - though I imagine it must be scorching hot to wear. Those small belts seem redundant to me, as they don't appear to serve any functional purpose. Maybe they're intended as utility straps, but Tifa was never depicted as a skilled Mechanic. On the other hand, I can only imagine how painful those belts would be if you got whipped by them while performing her signature moves - it's almost laughable! To create this recreation, every single part had to be sculpted and retopo-ed individually, which was an absolute nightmare. At times, I felt like giving up and walking away in tears. Despite the challenges, I'm hoping this recreation is accurate enough for you. Next on my list is Tifa's shirt!
