Like his Facebook page for more cosplay photography treasures: https://www.facebook.com/JwaiDesignPhotography I'm thrilled to share my first upload, a 3D-printed shoulder piece for Cloud's iconic armor in Final Fantasy 7! My boyfriend wanted to cosplay as Cloud and build the shoulder piece, so I stepped up and created the model. I utilized be3D_printers' screws for the printed screws on the shoulder, as they print exceptionally well. In the photo, you can spot me posing alongside my boyfriend as Aerith - it's a fun role reversal! You'll notice that I've uploaded the full-scale size, identical to our cosplay photo. Feel free to remix or resize this model to suit your 3D printing needs! If you're looking for pre-printed and finished versions of this shoulder piece, check out my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GeekFabLab. I also post regular updates on my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BindiCosplay) and my boyfriend's page (https://www.facebook.com/NerdSox). Now that we have our model printed, it's time for the finishing touches! To achieve a seamless look, follow these steps: Remove support material from the print. Apply your preferred filling material - such as wall spackle, XTC-3D, or Bondo - to the print. Use 150 grit sandpaper to smooth out the part. Don't worry if it's not perfect yet; we'll get there! Give the entire piece a coat of Filler Primer using Rustoleum Filler Primer. Repeat steps two and three until you're satisfied with the results. The smoother, the better! Finally, break out your paint and get creative!
