This is a standard overlay designed specifically for Fettronics BF V5 chest lights. I encountered issues when trying to mount Fettronics lights into a 6mm thick Sintra chestplate, as my cuts around the LEDs weren't clean and required dremeling out a section at the back of the plate so it would sit flush without floating. This part allowed me to cut a single larger rectangle into the plate, set the PCB depth where it was flush possible, secure with super glue, epoxy or 2-part epoxy putty, and sand the visible surface smooth. It gave me a clean display edge, eliminated the need for dremeling out much thickness from the back of the plate, and provided something to secure the LEDs to. Results may vary depending on individual hand-formed Sintra chestplates as no two are alike. Happy Kit Building.
