I got fed up with the 15-LED adhesive strip light under the A8's headpiece casting a shadow right where I wanted light. I yanked out the strip light and slapped in an automotive 12V 32 mm festoon LED just above bed height, mounting it on the left pillar and wiring it straight to the main board's 12V and GND terminals.
