Festool Domino Glue Nozzles for Model 700 and 500
prusaprinters
This update is a new design from my original glue nozzles and include the following improvements:Split design separating the nozzle from the cap and permitting replacement of just the nozzle (or cap) if necessary. Added nozzle sizes suitable for the Domino XL machine.Added additional glue exit ports for improved glue distribution.Revised the nozzle internal cavity to minimize glue volume within the nozzle. The following hardware is necessary for this build:M4 x 6 x 6 brass heat set threaded insertsM4 x 10mm long countersunk flat head stainless steel screws10mm O.D. x 6mm I.D. O-rings (seal between nozzle and cap as well as the flushing adapter.I set the threaded inserts using a soldering iron at 310C. Be sure to recess them slightly below the surface and check alignment by inserting a screw to verify it is close to perpendicular to the nozzle base (makes assembly easier). O-rings sit proud of the surfaces by about 0.2mm for a good seal.My model is a parametric design that is not compatible with making a 4mm nozzle.
