This dust cap is designed for a DFM12 Festo pneumatic actuator, as illustrated in the images. Failure to install it properly may result in an accumulation of dust inside the guide rods, which can damage the brass bushings over time. The solution is simple and effective. An updated version from January 2015 features a lip that helps prevent splash as well. These dust caps were printed with 0.1mm layer thickness, two perimeters, and 100% infill. The holes are slightly tight, requiring a drill for clearance on the M4 screws. Despite this, they have an excellent appearance, featuring Festo's signature blue color, and typically take around 2 hours to print.
