PLA should be fine, 0.2 layer heightThere are multiple 8mm holes you could use to fix your own ornaments. I wanted to test out if it's possible to print out spruce needles, and it turned out quite well. Fortunately, I had military olive green and mud brown, just perfect for the task. To activate the charm of Christmas, you need to heat up the needles to give them that natural, curvy shape. You can use a heat gun or put it in a hot water (just be careful not to mess it up, it gets really soft in the water, but you'll get nice and even result)Eventually you could try to bend these by hand, but in such case pick PETG, otherwise you'll just break off the needles. I printed mine with MMU, but that's barely a single layer of different color, you could print the inside of the snow flake first, then print the rest on top of it. Or design your own addons.
