Ferry that floats - Fully printable toy model
myminifactory
I've built this ferry for my son because we both adore those machines that take us on vacation every year! :)\r\nTinkercad tag #Jurelines.\r\nWe've invested a lot of effort to make it fully printable:\r\nThe ramps have a unique opening mechanism, making it easy to assemble, open and close,\r\nIt features removable floating tanks, so when playing in the water you can simply remove them,\r\nThose tanks are calculated to hold up to 10 classic Matchbox / Majorette cars (if you manage to print the ferry with about 300g of material and the cars weigh around 300g),\r\nWe've tested it in the Adriatic Sea, and it floats perfectly,\r\nOne version is Lego compatible, allowing kids to decorate it with their favorite Lego pieces,\r\nIf you print the lower deck in Lego-compatible format, you can replace the floating tanks with wheels (when needed) for playing indoors.\r\nYou can find all parts on Tinkercad, and remix them according to your needs under tag #Jurelines\r\n(see attached pictures)\r\nIt needs to be printed in separate parts (mainly without support - check the slicer - ramp mechanism):\r\n1x HULL (or Lego compatible)\r\n1x LOWER DECK (or Lego compatible)\r\n1x TOP DECK WITH CABIN (or Lego compatible)\r\n1x CABIN ROOF (or Lego compatible)\r\n2x RAMP\r\n2x FLOATER (if you want your ferry to swim in the water)\r\nHave fun! Kids absolutely love it!\r\nThis object is published in Tinkercad challenge #Tinkerfun\r\nThis object was created using Tinkercad. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/cH2YnRkidNJ
