The model of ferredoxin from Rhodopseudomonas palustris, based on the Protein Data Bank entry 4ID8, is displayed using VMD software. Ferredoxins are iron-sulfur proteins involved in electron transfer during metabolic reactions. The protein's backbone is shown as a cartoon, while cysteine residues and Fe3S4 clusters appear as spheres. This model was successfully printed with a Replicator 2 using MakerWare 2.2.2.89, featuring three shells and 25% infill, along with raft and supports.
