Ferrari FF with Parallel Architecture

Ferrari FF modified with a Parallel Architecture layout, to display its advantages of Parallel Architecture in vehicle design. Original V12 engine would have to be replaced for an inline-6 unit, to fil below the central dashboard. As the original Ferrari FF already has a mid-center engine layout, benefits from Parallel Architecture would be improved aerodynamics, habitability and driver´s visibility. Parallel Architecture is defined by the placement of the engine in parallel with the driver's legs, below the central dashboard area. In order to maintain the minimum width, the inline engine must be installed longitudinally in the vehicle, with all the engine auxiliaries mounted in series relative to the engine. The base of the windshield is moved forward, so that the dashboard has sufficient length to allow access to the top of the engine, in order to perform maintenance operations on the cylinder heads area, by opening an access chamber on the top of the central dashboard.
