Ferrari FF Coupe with Parallel Architecture
grabcad
To demonstrate Parallel Architecture benefits, a Ferrari FF Coupe was modified with mid-center engine layout. This design enhances aerodynamics, provides rear cargo space and improves driver visibility. In Parallel Architecture, the inline engine is positioned parallel to the driver's legs below the central dashboard, necessitating installation of auxiliaries in series relative to the engine. For optimal width, the V12 engine must be replaced with an inline-6 unit. The windshield base is moved forward to allow maintenance access to the top of the engine through a chamber on the central dashboard's top.
