Throughout the rest of the separation, FCA's interest in Ferrari's operations was dispersed among FCA shareholders with 10% remaining owned by Piero Ferrari. The spin-off was completed on January 3, 2016. Throughout its history, the company has consistently been recognized for its ongoing involvement in racing, especially in Formula One, where it is the oldest and most successful racing team with 16 constructors championships won.
