NOTE: This version does not include an engine, boot or detailed chassis. The other version (click on my username) has everything included. DESCRIPTION: This is a very detailed 3d model of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO serial number 3445GT, featuring numerous intricately modeled details. HISTORY: This 250 GTO is chassis number 3445GT and was completed on April 30th in 1962. The unusual colors on this car reflect its early racing history in Sweden, where it had an illustrious competition record. Before being sent to Sweden in the summer of 1963, it participated in prestigious events like LeMans, Tour de France, and Paris 1000 Kilometers at Monthlhery in 1962. Notably, it finished fifth overall at Sebring in March of 1963 under its previous ownership. It is currently owned by Christopher Cox from the United States. The car is a 250 GTO Serie I chassis with an engine that produces 300bhp using the iconic Colombo V12 engine configuration. Key equipment features include Borrani rims, Avon CR6 ZZ tires and authentic original Marchal headlights. FEATURES: A high-resolution, polygon-based model of quads and tris originally created in 3ds Max allows for any level of resolution needed. Default and advanced material sets including V-Ray and mental ray, with precision rendering to bring the model to life are provided. Additionally, real-world scale is maintained using metric units (cm) so that precise positioning can occur; with placement very close or just above the ground. The use of a quad mesh for the majority of the car provides more resolution and clearer results than other methods when performing detailed zoomed-ins, making it over 99% quads in the entire model. Each significant section such as doors, interior, wheels are grouped properly to simplify setup and arrangement within a scene consisting of nearly 38 items. This particular rendition presents every feature and piece that you might expect on such a luxurious automobile (right down to small nuts and bolts modeled precisely), yet it still holds the overall proportions closely matching those seen in its real-world counterparts; leaving plenty for creative visual experimentation. All isolated vertices have been completely eliminated from this rendition, preventing any anomalies from being observed in model performance when subject to advanced lighting analysis. Textures included utilize multi-material setup combined with separate decal overlays and blend materials ensuring seamless handling within the environment. A variety of different material setups (14 multi-material sets) has allowed each piece, element and specific area be detailed uniquely without causing compatibility conflicts throughout render operations. The rendering scenes provided were executed in 3ds Max version 2013 along side V-Ray engine, version 2.4; making this model very responsive to a multitude of complex effects during image synthesis if required for high detail final render shots.
