myminifactory
Dedicated to King Fernando VII who ruled Spain from 1814 until his death in 1833. This monument was initiated by Claudio Martinez de Pinillos, Count of Villanueva, and installed in the center of the plaza de Armas (Arms Square) in 1834. Spanish sculptor Antonio Solá crafted this impressive work. In 1955, it was relocated to make way for the statue of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, the country's Founding Father. This sculpture is part of the "Scan The World" project.
