The Cotentine Farm is an old agricultural property in Manche, located in Omonville-la-Rogue. It sits on the Customs Trail leading from Quervière Bay to Éculleville and Omonville-la-Rogue. Abandoned and threatened with destruction, it was bought by the Coastal Conservation Agency in 1991, which began a preservation project. Working with Hague Community and Manche Littoral Mixed Association, volunteers organized rehabilitation projects that allowed them to secure walls and start showcasing the entire building. You can find its first mention on Cassini's map (1753-1785), where it is noted as Cotantine. This name seems not to be a reference to the Cotentin region but rather a feminine form of the surname COTENTIN, meaning "Cotentine Farm". The southern buildings were added in the 19th century.
