Fennec Fox with column-tree support

Fennec Fox with column-tree support

thingiverse

This is a remake of PhysicsDude's low-poly Fennec Fox, but this time with column/tree kind of help which is not just nice to have but also way easier to take out than other kinds of assistance. The STL is perfect for printing in all shapes and sizes, so it should work great with most slicing tools. Column-tree type help was made using Meshmixer. Having released V2, which came out just fine on my machine and later V3, where I haven't printed yet, it's clear that being smart about when to print is really important for making cool things. Firstly, I'm a big supporter of printing with thick brims on the very first layer and keeping my acceleration low helps get a smoother motion and less shaking which helps print jobs stay alive longer and so does their supporting structures too! Here are my latest Meshmixer settings for helping make good prints in case someone wants to take a closer look, change them or give feedback. No matter what it's always a great idea to understand what each one does so you can make even more awesome supports later on! General Settings: Angle Threshold = 35 Contact Tolerance = 0 Y-Offset = 0 mm
