During the 10th edition of Design Miami/ in December 2017, FENDI unveiled WELCOME!, a space created for "good living," showcasing furniture pieces by rising Italian designer Chiara Andreatti. As one of Italy's most exciting young designers, Andreatti successfully captured the essence of the Roman Maison while translating its creative and aesthetic philosophy into an exclusive collection of luxury furniture. WELCOME! was a living room where disparate eras and styles converged, communicated through a diverse range of artisanal and natural materials. This opulent environment conjured up an atmosphere that embodied both intimacy and primordial times, characterized by subtle, soothing tones. A refined, rural luxury was punctuated with high-end, elegantly refined elements. By incorporating FENDI's iconic details into her own designs, Chiara Andreatti paid homage to the brand's most revered icons and their expertise in fur craftsmanship, which she seamlessly integrated into her collection, creating a comprehensive survey of FENDI's creative universe. For her exquisitely crafted objects, Chiara chose soft hues and exotic materials paired with sophisticated craftsmanship. The large table and smaller side-table rested on wide, natural brass legs, while the tabletop featured a thick bamboo interwoven linear pattern inspired by the intricate craftsmanship of the iconic 1971 Astuccio fur. The rocking chair, boasting a U-shaped backrest and a nostalgic soul reminiscent of familiar home scenes, was crafted from burnished steel finished in opaque wax, complemented by two sophisticated cushions in Cuoio Romano in FENDI's signature ochre-yellow – one for the headrest and one for the wide frame.
