I invested considerable time learning from DigitalTutors tutorials before attempting this challenge. Researching various Fender components, I refined my skills by replicating each part within one week. Building the body involved creating polygon shapes and meticulously refining them using the split poly tool to achieve a precise structure consisting of symmetrical quads. Meanwhile, other components were modeled in a way that matched their individual measurements exactly. Subsequently, I separated the guitar neck and knobs into unique UV layouts where I individually applied custom textures in Photoshop.
