Fender Champ-Like Amplifier Cabinet v5 - WIP - Rounded Corners
grabcad
More "furniture-like" cabinet to satisfy a local request. Build in progress from CNC router cut Purebond maple plywood, solid oak trim, and CNC plasma cut stainless steel. Dimensions accommodate a standard Fender Champ-like chassis and 8" loudspeaker.Update: Never got the intended rounded corners. Many layers of polyurethane (looks much better than in photos). Transformers from a junk 1934 radio and filter choke from a 1950's Hammond organ. Single ended with 5Y3, 12AX7, and 6V6GT. Early Champ/Princeton/Deluxe/etc. style circuit with tone control, feedback defeat switch, and no tremolo. Sounds just like it should with early Rola or Jensen speakers.
