Fence Knob for a Yorkcraft YC-6J Jointer

The replacement knob for my Jointer's fence broke, forcing me to find a new solution. What caught my eye was a small 1/8th inch high tab on the original knob about halfway down, which fit snugly into the shaft detent. Since the material wasn't flexible enough to stretch and accommodate the new dimensions, I turned to thermal insert screw holders and a pair of set screws to project into the shaft. This clever fix works perfectly!
