Bone Structure: The femur is a major limb bone that forms the thigh and connects to the pelvis through the hip joint. It consists of three main parts - the shaft or diaphysis, the head or capitulum, and the condyles or trochanters. The femoral neck joins the femoral head to the shaft, while the greater and lesser trochanters are prominent bumps on either side of the femur's lower end.
