The female statue donning a peplos (dress) stands proudly.\r\nDozens of statues of standing women, uniformly crafted and similarly attired, have been reinstated in a highly visible location on the acropolis at Xanthos. Their intended subjects remain unknown but their importance is evident from their exceptional quality.
