Female Statue
myminifactory
This ancient marble statue was unearthed near the iconic Theseion in Athens. The female form likely portrays Aura or Hebe in a dynamic pose, her peplos dramatically blown forward by the wind's forceful gusts. Archaeologists believe she once served as the central acroterion of one of the temple of Ares' impressive pediments within the heart of the Athenian Agora. The statue's torso is closely linked to head no. 381, a remarkable find that can be accessed and downloaded by clicking here.
