The subject of this portrait is a mysterious female figure whose identity remains unknown to this day. Nonetheless, the skillful hands that brought her likeness to life belonged to none other than Tullio Lombardo, a renowned Italian master sculptor active during the height of the Renaissance period, with his career spanning from around 1459 until his passing in 1532.
