Female Head
myminifactory
Cyzikus (Turkey), a gift from Theodor Wiegand in 1932, dates back to around 500 BC. This marble statue features a head with eyes slightly slanted upwards, a smiling mouth, and long hair combed over the high back of the head, characteristic of an Eastern Greek kore statue. However, unlike other statues of aristocratic women from the same era, this Cyzikus does not adorn any jewelry, which was typically worn alongside luxurious garments and a contained smile to signify status in ancient Greece. This artifact is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative by MyMiniFactory that aims to create a free digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe.
