Female funerary statue
myminifactory
This statue was unearthed in an ancient burial ground located on Stadiou Street, Athens. The figure bears a striking resemblance to the Large Herculaneum Woman type, showcasing a full-length chiton and himation that envelops her head and body entirely. Crafted in the 1st century A.D., this replica is believed to have been created from a renowned original sculpture dating back to around 320 B.C., likely attributed to the skilled hands of Praxiteles.
