This female statue is one of a pair of figures crafted in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. The two sculptures, including her male counterpart also showcased on Scan the World, hail from Kranket Island, Madang Harbour, Astrolabe Bay in Papua New Guinea. Scanned at The Oceania Exhibition held at The Royal Academy between September and December 2018, this piece comes from the Linden-Museum in Stuttgart.
