Djinn were once an esteemed and formidable breed of shape-shifting Abyssals. In one of the brutal conflicts that ravaged the Abyss, the Djinn lost their ancestral homeland which was laid waste by the forces of a ruthless rival faction, and they were subsequently imprisoned within mundane objects such as vials, blades, and other artifacts before being cast into the mortal realm. Humans have recently discovered a means to temporarily liberate the Djinn from their torment using arcane magic and the raw power of mana. The Djinn find humans to be intriguing and diverting creatures, and at first glance, they strive to grant human wishes without moral reservation. However, the Djinn are secretly amassing the mana used to awaken them from these enchanted vessels in order to shatter the spell that confines them to the earthly plane. Once the Djinn have accumulated sufficient mana, the world will be confronted with a terrifying horde of Abyssals who will stop at nothing to exact their revenge against their ancient foes in the Abyss.
