I purchased a water pump featuring a 1 inch intake and discharge. Frustrated by my inability to connect the one-inch tapered (NPT) end to my hose, I devised this solution. I printed it solid for added strength. A 1 cm section is essentially redundant, yet it provides an ideal location for drilling, tapping, and installing a pressure gauge. If I were to reprint, I would shorten the middle of the design by approximately 1 cm. Feel free to modify it as needed; I will adapt my existing prints with a lathe. The threads function flawlessly without any support structures. This adapter is designed for use with the wrinkled hose sold specifically for sump pumps.
