SolidWorks 2016 Exporting to STL Format To export a part from SolidWorks 2016 into an STL file format, follow these steps: 1. Open your design in the software. 2. Click on File > Save As. 3. In the Save as type dropdown menu, select STL (*STL). 4. Choose a location and name for your file. 5. Ensure that the desired settings are selected in the STL Export dialog box. Alternatively, you can export an IGES file from SolidWorks 2016. To do this: 1. Open your design in the software. 2. Click on File > Save As. 3. In the Save as type dropdown menu, select IGES (*IGS). 4. Choose a location and name for your file. 5. Ensure that the desired settings are selected in the IGES Export dialog box. Note: These steps assume you have SolidWorks 2016 installed on your computer. If you do not have access to this software, please consult with your IT department or contact a local reseller.
