Felix the Cat - Whistling, Magnet & Ornament / IEC3D
thingiverse
Happy Birthday to Felix the Cat! Since Felix is now 95 years old and available in the public domain since copyright expired at midnight last night, we are releasing a Felix the Cat collection. The comic strip began in 1923, but actually started as "Master Tom" in 1919 in a silent short film called "Feline Follies". Check out this classic movie on archive.org! We created a whistling Felix, a laughing Felix, an original Felix and more. We will upload the rest in the next few hours - see our group photo to get a sneak peek! This Felix the Cat fridge magnet and ornament uses a 10mm x 3mm magnet that we bought from Amazon in a pack of 100 for about $10. To attach it, simply glue it inside the hole in the back with super glue or Goop from Home Depot. We also added an ornament hook so you can hang your Felix on your Christmas tree or wall. Change the filament color after you see that the background (base) is printed to a height of 4 mm and the outline of Felix has completed one or two layers. Additionally, we added a thru-hole through the top of the ornament hook for easy hanging with thread or fishing line. Enjoy and Happy New Year from IEC3dDesignWorks!
