Felix Heatbed Isolation

Felix Heatbed Isolation

The heatbed on my Felix was taking its sweet time heating up, and no matter how hard I tried, it just wouldn't go higher than a measly 88 degrees. So, I stepped in to give it a hand - literally - by adding an isolation sheet made from a sturdy piece of cooker hood filter. With the help of some nifty 3D-printed clips, this hack did the trick beautifully and now my bed heats up like a pro to a whopping 100 degrees without any fuss at all. To achieve similar results, follow these steps carefully: First, cut out a sheet of cooker hood filter that measures exactly 25 by 30 cm. Take note to pay close attention to the SVG file provided for guidance on where to punch in the mounting screws and cables. Don't even think about skipping this step - it's crucial. Next, remove the heatbed from its housing by unscrewing those pesky 3 nuts located at the bottom with utmost care not to misplace the accompanying washers and springs in the process. Then, place your carefully crafted isolation sheet over the bed before securing it firmly back into place using three screws through their designated holes. But that's still not all - you see, the right side middle sections require a tiny bit of additional taping up to ensure everything remains stable. Now that we've got the bed situated neatly once more, screw those 3 nuts right back onto their spots and go ahead with recalibrating the table so it fits your specific needs. Last but not least - don't forget to crank out 5 copies of the clip provided, only to then strategically position three along the left edge while carefully attaching another at both front and rear ends of this newly modified setup. Easy peasy, isn't it?
