They're making the smaller nozzle direct flow closer to the workpiece more effectively, significantly enhancing the quality of my prints. Leaving supports in place can act as additional flow directors, which is why I've decided to remove mine to minimize backpressure. The longer nozzle was a necessary addition after one of my two extruders failed; I'm now preparing to replace the original with an E3D Chimera dual extruder soon.
