This illuminating bar is engineered specifically for the Felix 3.0 three-dimensional printer, carefully crafted to swivel up and out of sight for seamless access to the extruders. The Felix, boasting a dual-extruder kit, requires this attachment only with that module installed on its printers. Eight-millimeter wide strip lights were selected for their ubiquity; these are readily available at eBay or automotive retailers – although purchasing from such vendors can prove cost-prohibitive. To integrate the illumination system, one simply wires them into the twelve-volt powered fan attached to the extruder and incorporates a simple on/off switch. As an alternative, one could reroute a few extra wires through existing cable bundles back to the base unit to enable adjustable brightness controls. To set up the attachment: Utilize two pieces of foam double-sided tape to securely fasten the mounting brackets to each stepper motor's extremity.
