Feiyutech Mini 3D Repla Replacement Motor Mount / Arm Cover / Shell
thingiverse
6 months after purchasing my Feiyu Tech Mini 3D Gimbal, I snapped the plastic motor mount/shell piece on the arm, rendering it useless. This was extremely frustrating as I could no longer use it. After contacting Feiyu Tech, they offered a repair service that required me to send the gimbal to China but refused to sell me a replacement part. So I decided to model and print one myself. For anyone out there in the same situation, here's a free model that I created which you can use to print a replacement part (I would have happily purchased a replacement part if they had offered it). Print with solid infill on a slow speed for best results. You will need 2x M2 hex head nuts which fit into the cutouts inside the part for securing arm screws in place. The screw holes for the circuit board and other half of the cover are designed to be self-tapping, so gently screw the M2 screws in and check they fit (don't over tighten or it will strip the hole). Note: You may need to use a 4mm drill bit to ream out the 3x countersink screw holes that hold the motor because I forgot to add some tolerance into the print for clearance of the screw heads. I'll update for V2 when I get a chance. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm layers, 0.4mm nozzle Infill: 100% Notes: Printed using PLA which works fine; ABS should also be okay.
