Feet for Printrbot Simple Metal Version 2
thingiverse
Everything gets better with more details! I wanted to recreate my Printrbot feet in black, but why not try a different design instead? This time, the back feet lock securely in place (with some real muscle) and will stay attached. The front feet still slip into position like before, but now I've added a stand that comes with a removable clip which attaches to the printer base at the top. Overall, you can easily pick up the printer and move it without losing its footing. Instructions To make these adjustments work properly, I place self-adhesive rubber pads underneath each foot (and add some extra glue just in case) to absorb shocks and keep them firmly on the table's surface. First, when attaching the back feet, insert one directly beneath the printer's corner and press it down strongly until you hear a clear click. Be aware that the bolt head will eventually pop into its corresponding hole from behind. Next, slip the base onto the front feet, apply some super glue to secure them further, and then add a few more drops of glue around the post where the clip needs to fit snugly into place once you've carefully placed it.
