Feet for Bosch GSR120-Li Cordless Drill - Also with Magnets! (Multiple Variants)
thingiverse
The Bosch GSR120-Li Cordless Drill I purchased comes with 12V 1.5Ah batteries that lack the wider plates found on more expensive, high-capacity variants of the drill sold. So, I decided to create one for myself. I also added slots at the top and bottom for old hard drive magnets, allowing me to stick bits and tools in place and secure the drill to various surfaces, increasing my efficiency. The round magnet variant features five slots on the top, three of which can accommodate 15x3mm magnets or smaller, while two can accept 10x3mm magnets or smaller. I used a two-part epoxy to attach the magnets, then sanded everything flat before applying a coat of paint. To secure the battery in place, use a thin 3M VHB tape on the foot or opt for epoxy if you prefer; otherwise, it will fit snugly without coming loose. Keep in mind that because this design is intended to stay securely attached, the Bosch sticker on the battery may show signs of wear as you press it into place. If fitting issues arise, try scaling up or down by 1 percent and see if that resolves the problem. The file names are straightforward, and I've used settings that work well for me; however, your printer's performance may vary. Perform your own test fits and let me know if anything doesn't work as expected – I'll do my best to make adjustments. It would be great to see your builds. Have a good day and happy making!
