FeederBot's filament rack design accommodates both smaller (Octave, MatterHackers) 33mm and larger (MBI, Protoparadigm) 52mm spools. The 3/4" PVC pipe (outer diameter 1" or 27mm), sourced from hardware stores or furniture grade suppliers like Lowes.com and Formufit.com, serves as the primary material. When constructing, dry fit all pieces first before applying PVC cement for a swift drying process of 30 seconds. The completed rack requires: 1 x 10' length of 3/4" PVC pipe cut into- - 15" (front foot) - 10" - 2 x 8" - 4 x 7" - 2 x 6" - 2 x 5" - 6 x 4" (5 as spindles for spools) - 2 x 1.5" Alongside, you'll need 4 end caps, 5 tees, 3 elbows (90-degree), and a cross. Remember that furniture grade PVC offers a high gloss finish reducing friction during operation, but it is more expensive than the hardware store variety.
