Fedora Hat
thingiverse
A fedora is typically a felt hat with a wide brim and indented crown that is often creased lengthwise down the crown and "pinched" near the front on both sides. Fedoras can also be creased with teardrop crowns, diamond crowns, center dents, and others, and pinches are positioned differently. The standard height of a fedora's crown is 4.5 inches. A fedora's brim is usually about 2.5 inches wide but may be wider, left "raw edged," finished with overwelt or underwelt stitching, or bound with trim-ribbon. Some stitched edges have one or more rows of inward-stitching toward the crown. The Cavanagh Edge is a very expensive welted edge treatment that cannot be done by modern hat factories anymore. The term fedora was in use as early as 1891, and its popularity increased until it surpassed the homburg, which looked similar to it.
