Feather Filigree Earrings

Remixed with 123dapp.com's Filigree Element model, number 592559, I printed in white at a nozzle diameter of 0.4 millimeters, layer thickness of 0.3 millimeters, and an infill density of thirty percent without any supports. Unfortunately, the print did not turn out perfectly due to my lack of epoxy on hand. After carefully cutting loose strings with a box cutter, I smoothed them in acetone and then spray painted the entire piece white. Next, I applied a clear coat followed by a delicate touch of Martha Stewart liquid gilding, painstakingly painted by hand. To complete the look, I attached gold-plated jump rings and earring hooks to the piece, which featured pink cultured pearls. A custom-made S hook, crafted using miniature needle-nose pliers, secured the 3-millimeter jump ring in place on the printed element.
