This model comes whole, or ready to print. (Notes from the person who split it into smaller chonks) When I joined the original pieces together, you can still see where you previously had it split in the model itself. This includes several interior holes from where you had pins as well as visible defects on the outside, etc. The rods I am using are carbon fiber rods from Dragon plate: https://dragonplate.com/DragonPlate-Carbon-Tube-7mm-OD-x-185ID-x-48 The important part is the outside diameter of the rods is 7mm, Amazon I think will have rods too and their shipping tends to be much cheaper than Dragonplate For the rods and cuts I made, I used a clearance of 0.15mm. Since others won't have the ability to modify the model manually like I did and build in clearance for their prints, there's usually a setting in the slicer that lets you add in a clearance as well I've found a well tuned printer should have a tolerance of 0.15mm - 0.25mm This is most important for inserting the rods, because you can't really sand them to make them fit. I recommend people do a test print with one piece and adjust the slicer settings if a rod doesn't fit. The staff is designed to split apart between pieces 10 and 11 to make it easier for transport. There's three holes for rods and then several smaller holes for magnets. On the magnets front, if I were to redo it I would've changed the magnet holes to accommodate larger magnets. You may want to do this if you decide to use my STL files. When assembling, I used 5 minute quick cure epoxy and put some on the rods and then a bunch around each assembly joint. There's a few spots where the walls were so thin the rods poked through when I printed. I don't think it's a big deal as it's easily fixable with some wood filler, but could be something you may want to fix if giving the models to others. The cut lengths for each carbon fiber rod is as follows and are in order from the bottom to the top of the staff: With the exception being that the rods that split off to the happy noodle are #21 and #22. Rods 8, 9, and 10 are for where the staff splits apart for transportation The rod lengths are: Rod 01 - 38.5cm Rod 02 - 36cm Rod 03 - 18cm Rod 04 - 15cm Rod 05 - 23cm Rod 06 - 19cm Rod 07 - 19cm Rod 08 - 12cm Rod 09 - 7.5cm Rod 10 - 11cm Rod 11 - 8cm Rod 12 - 12cm Rod 13 - 22cm Rod 14 - 10cm Rod 15 - 6cm Rod 16 - 10cm Rod 17 - 6cm Rod 18 - 14cm Rod 19 - 7.5cm Rod 20 - 9cm Rod 21 - 10cm Rod 22 - 10cm
