The iconic Fearless class heavy cruiser is replicated here. Renowned for their capacity to engage numerous enemy vessels despite being outnumbered and facing challenging tactical situations, the Fearless class set a new standard in ship design at that time. A total of 13 ships were completed between 2599 and 2621, with another 12 ordered but later converted to the improved Gorgun Class, all of which served throughout the Federation. Their primary tactic involved positioning themselves opposite the enemy, targeting the enemy vessel with their advanced rangefinder, and then training all guns for area fire. At shorter ranges, the rear turrets could independently target the enemy while also coordinating with other turrets, and smaller turrets relied on the main range finder. When operating at close range, the cruiser could engage targets in all directions if able to pivot freely on its axis. The Fearless class's main armament consisted of 14 nuke slug guns designed for long-range fire, taking full advantage of their superior rangefinder. They also carried four missile launchers, initially considered secondary weapons by the officer corps who preferred "gun club" tactics as primary training. However, after engaging independent pirate cruisers and confronting Alien vessels, they reevaluated missiles as equally powerful and valuable to nuke slug guns. No beam weapons were used on these ships, although two laser turrets were tested on FS Renown, proving unsatisfactory and subsequently replaced.
