FDSemu Shell

FDSemu Shell

thingiverse

This is a shell for the FDSemu made by James Holodnak. The FDSemu is a compact device that can replace your big bulky Famicom Disk System drive and performs much more reliably than it, with a few additional features. This shell is designed to safeguard the circuits as no protective casing has previously been available. Notes: This download is free only, selling this shell would be illegal because it was created under an educational license. If you were sold this, report whoever sold it to you. The shell belongs to Matthew Schalk and was uploaded for free use only. Assembly: It's a very simple assembly process. Place the motherboard on "case bottom V1.02" with the button facing upwards. Then, insert the button into its designated slot. Next, click both pieces together. Friction should hold the parts in place. However, if it doesn't, using super glue will ensure a permanent Assembly. What's New: 1/29/2016 A new protective wall has been added where the Ram adapter plug is to shield the components. Additionally, "Flip Disk" and "FDSemu etching" have been included. The interior has been adjusted for a better fit. 1/30/2016 A USB cap has been added to safeguard the USB drive when it's not in use. 8/10/2016 A RAM Adapter port cover has been added to protect it during storage, and pictures of a final print made on my Prusa i3 have been uploaded. 1/11/2018 A V2 version has been added. This version features screw holes and no text, allowing it to be printed in a way that enables screwing together. The threading hole is 2mm in diameter, so the screws should be 2.4mm overall. Ensure they are the correct length beforehand to avoid interfering with the components on the board. I used screws from an old laptop as a reference. Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage you may cause to your FDSemu. This was a free case designed by me for free use only. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution:.2mm Infill: 20% - 100% Notes: Print settings do not matter except with the button, which may need rafts or brim to support it during printing.
