FDL-2 Buffer Tube Plate
thingiverse
Update: Added a thicker version, resolving issues with glue joints loosening over time on thinner models, which still held but wobbled slightly. Thicker versions eliminate the need for dremeling at the mounting hole, allowing users to simply cut threads into plastic and apply a small amount of glue to secure the stock from rotating. Update: I have thoroughly tested this stock plate in a week-long HvZ game using Devcon epoxy, confirming its ability to withstand extreme conditions with no issues. The plate also demonstrated exceptional strength by supporting the entire weight of the blaster suspended from a sling without any problems. Update: Initial sanding of the plate revealed a hole slightly too small for the buffer tube, requiring adjustments before achieving a secure fit. Although the modified plate feels solid, further stress tests remain to be conducted. Working on a new stock design for the FDL-2, this is a custom plate designed for screwing or epoxying onto a Mil-Spec AR-15 buffer tube, enabling attachment of any AR-15 style stock. This innovative setup aims to provide stability sufficient to support slings directly attached to the blaster, rather than relying on the Nerf quick release system.
