<p>The Filament Color System (FCS for short) allows you to produce reference chips for materials you print. These chips are blank so you can customise them however you see fit for your needs. <a href="https://www.printables.com/model/220537-filament-color-system-chip">The standard color chips can be found here.</a></p><h3>Features</h3><ol><li>Easily determine texture for the top/bottom surface of past prints. Each chip has the texture debossed onto the top face.</li><li>Each chip is 48.2mm x 48.2mm x 2mm.</li><li>Each chip is 4g of material. Minimal material used and takes ~30min to print.</li><li>Two thicknesses allow you to get a sense of opacity of each color.</li><li>4mm hole allows chips to be attached to a keychain or piece of string forming a color pallete.</li></ol><h3>Frequently Asked Questions</h3><h5>Why not use one of the dozens of material chips already on printables/thang/thingiverse?</h5><p>I wanted each chip to have sufficient information to determine the specific material and reorder it. This is possible by having both the debossed brand and material on each chip. I wasnt able to find a collection of chips elsewhere that had this.</p><h5>You are missing Brand/Material X!</h5><p>Leave me a comment and I'll add it! There are ALOT of materials and brands out there. I have added the ones I am aware off but always happy to add more.</p><h5>Why dont the chips have the color debossed into them?</h5><p>Primarily because that would result in a magnitude more files to manage and require scrapping alot more data.</p><p>Secondly, most people can see the color of each chip.
