The lid of Faustina's sarcophagus is embellished with three theatre masks, exuding an air of grandeur. Below the inscription, a selection of Jewish symbols are prominently displayed: the seven-branched candelabrum, or menorah, stands alongside the ritual horn, known as shofar; the palm branch, or lulav, also makes its presence known, complemented by the Jewish greeting of shalom, or peace.
